Trip to Panchgani (October 9-11, 2010)
The Panchgani Trip was special for 3 reasons - this was Aarush's first holiday trip with family; the family went together for a trip after almost two years and it was Aarush's Aunt's bday.
Aarush is not new to traveling, we travel between Pune-Mumbai every two months. We had also made a short trip to Kolhapur to visit the Mahalakshmi temple, when Aarush was 6 months old. Nevertheless, this trip was special because Aarush now understands and reacts to new things, new environment and new people.
We planned to leave early. But when u have a baby in the house, everything revolves around his routine. Since outside food is still no-no for Aarush, we prepared his day's meal in the morning. We reached Panchgani at around 2.00 pm.
We stayed at Hotel Ravine, located at the Sydney point, facing the Krishna valley. The scene we first saw outside the hotel window was breath-taking. The afternoon sun lit the mist in the environment, the nature took over a beautiful shade of green, plus the blue in the clear sky and the waters of the Krishna river added to the a beautiful scenery which I still remember vividly.
Aarush slept as soon as we reached there. After a late lunch, we all went to the hotel garden to view the sunset.
The sky was clear and the nature provided the perfect setting for photographs!!! So while the sun was going doing, we were all busy posing for pics with Aarush. :-) :-) :-)
We saw the sunset from the hotel the hotel on both days and it was just amazing. These pictures speak a thousand words. Need I say more!!!
The next day, Aarush woke up everybody as usual and was the first to bathe and get ready. And while we all were getting ready to go out, the little prince went off to sleep again!!!!
He woke up in the afternoon and we went for lunch to Mahabaleshwar. After hogging on maharashtrian veg and non-veg thalis, we went for boating to the Venna Lake.
Panchgani is a beautiful place. It's a rarity that we go to the same place again, we Waghmares like exploring new holiday destinations!! But as far as Panchgani is concerned... we shall be visiting again soon.... :-)
