Aarush is Two
Aarush is two
They say every day is a surprise when you have a baby. So very true.
Dear Aarush, you have turned two today.
I still remember the day when you were born. So delicate and so quiet. You slept all the while. You were quiet and observant while awake and cried only in sleep sometimes. You paid attention when we talked to you. Liked whatever we showed you. All said I was lucky to have a “quiet” and “obliging” baby like you. Well, no one can call you that anymore J J J...
When you were over one yr old, you would persist for whatever you wanted to play with, even if I said no. The light switch for instance. I used to tell Dad, that I like it that you were a little stubborn. Pls note... “little” stubborn!!! I had no idea that the cute little obliging baby would turn into a devil-may-care (in this case devil refers to Dad and me), stubborn child that you are now. Don’t get me wrong. We do love the little masti that you do. We record every moment of it whenever we get a chance. And we like sharing it with the rest of the world. We marvel at the energy you have. Yes we do love it normally but certainly not when love showing it off in the middle of night J. Even when you are messy or doing something ‘wrong’, you just don’t take no for an answer. And then we budge... for you persist longer and we just can’t pretend to be angry/adamant forever.
You run, you hide, you jump and dance, you play with anybody who comes home and you love to flash your naughty smile at everyone you meet. And yes, you love going to your day-care now and playing with other kids there. Every day is a new achievement. You learn new things. You love to explore. You clap when you achieve something. And we clap with you...
As you enter the toddlerhood today, I wish you wouldn’t be the stereotypical notorious terrible toddler. But frankly I wish you would be... We really enjoy every moment of your naughty acts as well as temper tantrums. Have fun...
