Some fun new things Aarush did in the Thirteenth month

Image
Well, babies are so innocent, they sometimes do things unexpectedly and make everyone laugh.  This list does not include milestones Aarush expectedly attained. It includes all fun things he did in the last one month - While babbling in the thirteenth month,  he unexpectedly said 'Dabaang' when we were planning to see the movie. His Aatya (aunt), who is a BIG Salmaan fan was obviously happy - His grandpa is his favorite as he takes him to the garden and makes him laugh. He got so angry when Grandpa stopped him from doing something that he cried when he saw him and refused to go to him.  But this anger didn't last for more than 10 mins!!! - Started saying Atta non-stop in the thirteenth month (he started saying this when I was teaching him "apple" and the word just stuck). This was around his Attya's bday so she was very very happy - Screams very loudly when we take him to the door (as he loves going outdoors). The immediate neighbours when he is going out

Trip to Panchgani (October 9-11, 2010)

Image
The Panchgani Trip was special for 3 reasons - this was Aarush's first holiday trip with family; the family went together for a trip after almost two years and it was Aarush's Aunt's bday. Aarush is not new to traveling, we travel between Pune-Mumbai every two months. We had also made a short trip to Kolhapur to visit the Mahalakshmi temple, when Aarush was 6 months old. Nevertheless, this trip was special because Aarush now understands and reacts to new things, new environment and new people. We planned to leave early. But when u have a baby in the house, everything revolves around his routine. Since outside food is still no-no for Aarush, we prepared his day's meal in the morning. We reached Panchgani at around 2.00 pm.   We stayed at Hotel Ravine , located at the Sydney point, facing the Krishna valley. The scene we first saw outside the hotel window was breath-taking. The afternoon sun lit the mist in the environment, the nature took over a

Aarush completes an year - Written by Mom on behalf of Aarush

Hi all :-) :-) :-), I am an year old now. Mom says that in a year, I have grown into an individual with my own mind and will... very curious though stubborn (only a little bit, u know). I like smiling and babbling at others and like it when people talk to me. I also like to make Mom and Dad feel proud by accomplishing newer feats everyday... putting spoon into my mouth, putting toys back into the toy bin, climbing on the sofa, pointing at objects, waving bye-bye, showing the wheel of the car when asked, keeping the car on top of shelf, etc. In fact I go from room to room in the house to do something new and different but Mom keeps stopping me. I listen to her when she says "no" if I do something bad, u see I am a good baby. But then I do it as soon as she is out of sight ;-p. My Dad calls me an alarm clock as I wake up at 7.30 am everyday and wake him up too. Mom still tries to stuff me with food, but now I check out what exactly is being fed to me and turn my head away when

Aarush at 7 Months - Written by Aarush's Mom on his behalf

Hi All Well, this is Aarush alias Aareen (S/O Vipula and Vishal Waghmare). My parents thought of changing my name at the last moment before the naming ceremony. Thought of sending an update since I had some free time today. You see, now-a-days, I am very busy exploring my house as I can move around on all fours now. I have lots of toys but I am not interested in them. I love to play with Mom's and Dad's stuff - mobile chargers, spoons and plates, mobile phones, the camera - in short all things which are unfairly restricted to me. Dad has brought me a play gym but I love to play on the floor, under the table, in the kitchen, etc. Mom seems to have no other work but feeding me every 3 hours. Somebody please tell her that I am more interested in eating the mobile phone cover, my stuffed toys and every other thing lying on the floor. In fact, I am helping my Mom loose a lot of weight my making her run behind me. I don't cry and throw too many tantrums. You see, I am not stubbo

Aarush at 4 weeks - Written by Aarush's Mom on his behalf

Note: We had planned to name our baby Aareen, but after discussions with family members changed it to Aarush. This letter was sent to all family and friends Hi All, I am baby Aareen, son of Vipula and Vishal Waghmare. I was born on September 17, 2009. Attached are some of my pics. I was born healthy and weighed 3.1 kgs. My Mom's fine too and is regaining her energy. Right now, I am so tiny that I hardly fit in the arms of my parents. All I do the whole day is cry, feed and sleep. Whenever I can, I spend my time getting used to the world around me. I love it when my loved ones talk to me though I don’t understand a single word. I love being the centre of attraction and make sure that nobody forgets my presence by crying or simply staring at objects and people around me with all interest. My grandparents, aunts and uncle simply adore me. It does feel nice to be out in this world. I await your love and blessings, while I grow into a beautiful and healthy boy. - Baby Aareen

But I am sure God will always be with you everywhere and all the time. Letter to my Unborn Baby – From Mom

Image
This is a back-dated letter, written when I was four months pregnant. It was published in a magazine called Parent and Child. Dear Baby I am one of those who never had the time to dream of being mother. I did love kids but I never dreamed of having one. Therefore I did not have an idea about how it would be to be pregnant and had plans for career and education without a lot of thought given to this priority of my life.  My pregnancy was planned. When you were only one month in January 09, I somehow knew I was pregnant. Therefore when the pregnancy test came positive, it was a reassurance that I was having you. I was excited about this new phase in my life and wanted to simply race home to share the news with every near and dear one. The biggest joy was telling your dad, your grand parents and uncle-aunts the good news and knowing that they can’t wait to play with you. I actually wanted to tell the whole world about it. But I was advised against it by an experienced friend (the fi
